Starting to Film- Second Part

After filming the CCTV shots, we chose to shoot the 'Party' Scene,as again it is one of the shortest. For this, we used the Drama Studio at school, as the tools are there already to make it look as realistic as possible, such as lights and a sound system. Again, we used the Tri-Pod so that the filming was smooth and at the correct angles required. Disadvantages of doing this at school was that there were not many extra's used, so the party looked a bit bare, and the Non Diegetic, asynchronous sounds of the background music was relatively quiet as well as the Diegetic, synchronous dialogue of the character.

Finally, we shot our 'Hospital' Scene. This also took place in school, in the Medical Room. This was good as the resources needed, such as a chair and a hospital bed, was already provided. The only problem was that having to film in there, there was a lot of interruptions of people needing the toilet, therefore there was a lot of stops and re-shooting. Lighting and sound for this scene was good, using natural lighting and the lighting in the room. which is new and therefore high key.

Overall, all the scenes final pieces were to the highest standard possible, and shooting these scenes has shown us where our strengths and weaknesses lie, and we now know what to improve for shooting of further scenes in the piece.

(Below are two of the locations used to film)
